Creative Agency Gives Back with Free Rebranding for a Nonprofit
Attention nonprofit marketers: If you’re a small nonprofit organization in need of rebranding, you’re in luck. Thinkso, a creative agency based in New York City, is giving away a new one—for free.
Each year, the Thinkso team focuses their talents and resources on giving one worthy charity a brand makeover. We’re talking about a new logotype, website, and marketing materials that can be immediately put to use. They call it Give a Brand! ®, and they’re looking for this year’s applicants. But hurry; their call for entries ends on May 1, 2015.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Thinkso is undertaking its pro bono program, which was born out of a core value of doing good and giving back. The amount and quality of the work they deliver is pretty impressive. They even pull in sponsors, such as a printer and a programming firm, so that the materials the nonprofit receives are immediately live and ready to use. Check out what last year’s winner, Colorado-based All Breed Rescue & Training, received.
To make the event even more fun and challenging for the staff, Thinkso undertakes the makeover as a one-day sprint—“extreme branding,” if you will. Every designer, writer, strategist, project manager and even the partners of the 30-person firm participates. The goal is to conceptualize, execute, and deliver the materials that will be the most helpful to the nonprofit achieving its mission—all in 12 hours. (Well, the finishing touches—printing, etc.—come in the days following the design sprint.)
